Electrical Superintendent 

Detroit Metropolitan Area

Contract (6 months)


The Electrical Superintendent is a key member of the project team, responsible for the safe, timely, and profitable completion of assigned electrical construction projects. This role involves planning, organizing, supervising, and overseeing all aspects of electrical construction to ensure successful project execution.



  • Project Management:

  • Plan, organize, and supervise specific portions of electrical construction work.

  • Develop and implement electrical construction schedules for assigned areas.

  • Collaborate with project management to establish work procedures, documents, and standards.

  • Manage project budget and resources efficiently.

  • Track and monitor project progress to ensure adherence to timelines.

  • Oversee subcontractor performance and ensure contractual compliance.


Field Operations:

  • Supervise all electrical construction activities, including raceway, cable tray, panels, ductbank, grounding, switchgear, transformers, electrical equipment, wiring, motors, heat tracing, instrumentation, calibration, and testing.

  • Ensure the safety and productivity of craft personnel.

  • Manage electrical and instrumentation installation, testing, and calibration.

  • Oversee material deliveries, storage, and proper preventative maintenance.

  • Coordinate with QA/QC to verify welder qualifications.

  • Witness equipment setting and alignment.

  • Conduct pre-hydrostatic testing walkthroughs and verify post-testing system restoration.

  • Develop punch lists for outstanding work items.


Communication & Collaboration:

  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, subcontractors, architects/engineers, and other contractors.

  • Authorize purchase requisitions and field design change requests under supervision.

  • Ensure clear communication of project scope, changes, and field change orders.


Documentation & Reporting:

  • Complete daily field reports, document construction progress with photographs.

  • Develop and maintain as-built drawings for project records.

  • Respond to requests for information (RFIs) with support from the project team.


Compliance & Safety:

  • Implement and enforce all safety protocols on the project site.

  • Review and audit safety documentation, including pre-task analyses and task safety observations.

  • Ensure adherence to all codes and project specifications.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree and 7 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on electrical projects.

  • or - Associate Degree and 9 years construction management experience or craft supervision experience on electrical projects


Base Salary: 

$70/hr - $79/hr
